Golden Spring#2

Buck Brush and gold fields were in full bloom when I photographed this past spring in the Red HIlls area near Chinese Camp.
I liked the composition of the seasonal spring curving into the bg, giving the image a feeling of depth. Comments would be appreciated.

Wonderful. I like the touch of impressionistic feel this has along with the very pleasant and calming mood. What a wonderful place to enjoy a spring day. Nice light and color and I also like your composition very much.

Wonderful show of flowers. The comp does a good job of walking my eyes through the scene.

I nice foothill spring scenic, Floyd. I like the color and the serpentine-like line of the stream.

Love the S-curve, the pretty flowers and bright, yet soft light.

I seem to remember this photo. Did you post this a while back?

I recognized the location immediately having been to the Red Hills many times. It is lovely in the Spring.

I like the image over-all, but it looks a bit soft; it could use some sharpening, I think. The composition has a nice, easy feeling to it, and I like the color of the goldfield flowers.

Also, the bushes with the white flowers are Ceanothus, aka Buck Brush or Chaparral.

Floyd,

this is wonderful - what an outstanding composition. The light and glow on the flowers is wonderful, only surpassed by the perfect s-curve. This is just beautiful.

The only nit/suggestion I have would be to correct the softness. Hopefully it's only a web presentation issue and you've got the sharpness in the original.

Thanks Preston for mentioning the goof I made in the id of buck buck brush. It was a careless mistake on my part.
Thanks again.

Floyd, this is a very appealing composition to me. The creek invites me to follow into the depth and I enjoy all the colors of spring. There are nice lighting conditions to my eye, consistent with the atmosphere of this scene.

I think sharpening for the web would be favorable to discern all delightful details.
