Hello, all!

I haven't posted to the Macro forum in awhile, so I thought I would. This was taken this morning, just outside of my house...Close up images of dandelion seed heads always interest me, because of their lines and texture...so I thought I'd try a few of my own!

Nikon D200, 60mm, f/5.6, 1/320, ISO 200.

All comments and critiques appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
Jaymes

I spoke too soon. I will nominate this for the best so far. The water beads trapped in the heads are a real deal maker! :toast:

Jaymes, excellent vision to see this, and expert technique to get the image. I like the image as is. Very artistic. As an alternate image, I'd be interested in seeing this cropped from the bottom (leaving about the top 40%) into a horizontal image featuring the three seed heads and dew drops at the top of the image. I think this is where the greatest interest is. I'm not saying this would be better, but rather just an alternate comp - two for the price of one. :toast:

This is a finely crafted image! From the DOF & softness it conveys and the focus on the dew to the comp and lighting. Beautiful work! :toast:

Great point of focus again, love this comp Jaymes.
I especially like the over all ethereal feel/impression this abstract imparts to the viewer :toast:

Jaymes:
You are almost there with this image. The soft cotton wool like bg, the lines and scattered white spots all makes for a beautiful composition. Just wish for a little more sharpness on drops or a few lines and this would be over the top.
