Renewal

The contrast of old/new or dark/light drew me to this scene. The new forest growth overtaking the charred tree trunks shows the power of nature to renew itself. Taken from quite a distance using Canon 7D, 100-400 IS lens.

Comments appreciated.

Patricia, I can see how you were attracted to this scene, really like the mix of dead wood and pine, it keeps me looking, and that is a good thing. Beautifully seen and presented.

The contrasts and textures here are very nice. Could almost see cropping the right and going more square.

Patricia,

Wonderful! great eye and great job on isolating this little section of the forest. Oh, and a great story too about how nature can and will regrow, repair and thrive given it's own time and space.

Looks to me like the small version is a little oversharpened, and then the larger version looks like it's suffering from jpg compresion. some times ya just can't win. Hopefully you've got a solid original cause this one is worth a nice print.
