On Golden Pocket
by Doug Koepsel
A recent trip atop the Paria Plateau led to a few days at one of my favorite locations. The pools of water from the monsoon rains seemend to lessen a few inches every day, but i was very glad to have an ssortment of reflection pools. This image is composed of 4 horizontal frames stitched together vertically.

Nancy, these pools have tadpole shrimp, so i suspect the rings are from one rising to the surface. The shrimp are interesting to observe. They look like tiny horseshoe crabs.
This is a sweet image, one of the better ones I have seen from this location. Great comp, I like what you have chosen to include.

Like Shane, I also like what you chose to include very much.
Your processing is (as always) subtle, so no worries at all about oversaturation. Stitching looks perfect, too. It's real nice to see some unique and beautiful light from this place.
Brian, Just a little was cropped off the right side as there was an unsightly spit of wet sand extended into the pool in the LRC.
Peter, I felt lucky to get this period of rippled calm. I was talking to the wind for subsidence. Most of the time, the shape of the rockform could not be seen due to the ripples.
