Another shot of the Greater Roadrunner, looking for frogs in the area around our pond & run-off. You can see the additional photo (the day after, late afternoon) where it's turned away from me a bit, frog-n-beak.
F/10, 1/400th, ISO 640, 1D M3, 300mm f/2.8 + Kenko 2x ext @ 10:40am with a good amount of overcast.
Thanx for lookin' :wavey:

Two nice shots Howard. I really like the pose and the alert manner in the first one. Looks like he's got an eye out for the coyote! I can almost hear him saying "BEEP BEEP". :toast:

Classic pose for these guys. Nice capture. I like the setting. I usually just seem them against something brown.

Very nice exposure Howard, the overcast conditions really helped to give such nice detail on the bird. Good dof to show the entire bird nice and sharp. Love the posture and that tail. Just a pinch more room at the bottom would be my only suggestion.

A wonderful alert pose, I really like that tail, it seems to give the bird some attitude. Nice details too.

Sweet One Howard!!!

Great shot Howard. Nice of him to raise his tail to give you a more compact image.
