This little one grew up in my garden this year. One evening he was sitting right next to the Black Eyed Susans for me.

Nikon D300 F7.1 1/125 ISO 1250 Nikon 200-400 @280

I know it could be cropped a little off the bottom. I posted it at print size as I am thinking about this one for a contest. Comments and critiques welcome as always.

Nice backdrop for the subject. The yellow flowers really make a difference in the appeal the image has. If you have no objection to post processing, I would probably clone out the ticks in his ears. As you already know, the oof grass could be cloned as well.

What a lovely setting with all those yellow flowers Andrew. He or she is posing nicely for you and your low POV makes this very intimate. It would have been nice if there were some more flowers to the right of the subject too, but that was entirely beyond your control.

Pleasing composition, Andrew. No nits, but the subject feels very slightly dark to me, so you might try selective lightening tweak and see what you think.
