You may have a species of Dianthus or some other member of the Caryophyllaceae.

Thanks Phil, Jack and Bill. Nice to be posting again.
Thanks for a start, Jack. I looked through the guide i have and never came close to anything that I thought was related. The stem and leaf structure I saw on a quick search just now looks very similar to your suggestions.

Charlie - Nice to see you on the Flora Gallery again. This one appears to be Rose Gentian (Meadow Pink ?) but I am not 100% sure.
I like this shallow DOF photo with focus only on one bloom.

Hi, Ram. Nice to be here. I think your ID is about right, "Rosita Centaury", Centaurium calycosum looks to be it but as you say "I'm not 100% sure". [g]

Beautifully done, Charlie ( and nice to see you back ) !! Can't help any further on the ID - do like the light here and the handling of the dof.

Hi Charlie
Nice to see you posting again.
Love the painterly bg. Would have like to see the focus on the lower bloom instead of on the bud.

Hi Gary, I wish I could have done a little better on this beauty too. It was at an odd place and I'm not able to get down low freely and even worse getting back up. I did rush this I'm afraid. Nice to see all of you folks too.
