You may think that I'll never understand whether whites are white enough, and you may be right!
 But I'll ask again for your feedback on that with this Snowy Egret. I always love when Snowy Egrets have their feathers ruffled.

Comments, opinions and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

To be perfectly honest Barbara, I often have a difficult time judging whites also. But I'd say your exposure on an all-white bird in sunlight looks good here - sidelight probably helped. I also like the pose, sharpness of the bird and I think the sea foam adds to the image.

Looks perfect to me - exposure is right on.
Your choice of F-stop is also perfect - fine detail on the bird and nicely blurred BG.
The bit of ocean is also excellent!

Barbara: I think this looks very nice as posted. Great work on the whites, as well as the rest of the image. Nicely done!

Can't really judge the whites but for what it's worth they look good. I wonder if you could have bent down a bit to get the green vegetation totally behind the birds head. The contrast and great head feather spread would perhaps have been a bit more dramatic. A splendid shot as it is and trying to get back into helpful critique I trust you know this was trying to be helpful.

The whites look good to me as well: good texture without looking gray or muddy. Focus/detail is good. The sea foam is fine. I'd prefer more or less green behind the egret.

The whites look great to me, Barbara. Excellent detail in the egret and nice bg. I love the ruffled feathers, too.

Just right white in my opinion. The eye is crystal clear and the light is beautiful. Pose by the bird looks like a runway model.
