I'm sure this is not every ones cup of tea but I always enjoy high contrast black and white photographs and decided this image would be suitable for such treatment.
Thanks for any comments and constructive criticism.

Looks great in B&W! The leading line of the dune edge works very well and the sun star and cloud are great additions. Did you use a vignette on this? The fall off on the cloud in the upper right seems strong.

Definitely my cup of tea!! Beautifully composed and the processing is just about dead on IMO. If I had a suggestion, it would be to tone down the brightest area of sand (pretty much dead center of image). Love the ripples and texture. I would definitely print this baby large and hang proudly. Sweet shot Luke!

Thank you for the comments and feedback. I have taken them on board and can see that I should go back and remove the effect of the vignette from the cloud in the upper right. I will also look at toning down those highlights you refer to Bill.

Luke, This is a wonderful b/w image. I really enjoy looking at it. Your comp, light, shadows and textures all looking fantastic. As Bill mentioned I could see taking down the highlightes a little, but very little because I think that is part of the appeal here. Really an excellent image!

The contrast here is spot on and the sunstar a real topper. Nicely done. Very enjoyable image.

Love the lines and textures in this black and white.. Not sure about vignetting (already mentioned) - hesitant to suggest removing it too much, but adjusting a bit.

Nice conversion. I really like the texture in the sand and the nice leading line of the dune ridge.
