Another shot taken at the Cockrell Butterfly Center in Houston, TX. As mentioned in some other posts the lighting in there can be quite challenging. From not enough to way too much. At ISO 640 I had been in some darker areas. When I saw this frenzied attack by these Rice Paper Butterflies I probably should have dialed back the ISO some. This shot is a little hot IMO but the yellow reflection from the flower on the underside of the white butterflies is what got my attention. I look forward to your thoughts and thank you for looking.

Focal Length: 100mm macro
Aperture: f/7.1
Shutter Speed: 1/400
ISO: 640

A magnificent explosion of color here Tim. I'm looking at this on my laptop and there isn't any apparent noise so IMO the ISO worked splendidly for this shot. The sharpness throughout pleases me and should you, the photog. :wavey:

A little busy, but very colorful with excellent detail. The butterflies show up much better in the larger view. I don't think the high iso is an issue at all. You might consider cloning out the dried red leaf left center and the bright white part of the leaf in the URC.

Tim, get me to this butterfly center! LOL

Seriously, a wonderful composition, great colors, subjects and surrounding foliage! Very complementary lighting. Sure a bit busy but I'm not complaining! Well done!

Scott, thank you very much for your comments. They're well taken. I don't have PS and have only been using Lightroom for a few months. Before that I have no experience in manipulating images other than very basic cropping, etc. After your suggestion I went back into the image and tried to use the Clone and/or Heal features to accomplish this. I'm sure part of the problem is my inexperience but from what I tried and the disastrous results and what I've read from researching said disastrous results, it seems to be pretty popularly held opinion that these tools in Lightroom might ok for a little spot removal, for this kind of adjustment it's virtually useless. So I tried to fix your suggestions but don't possess the skills or tools to accomplish them.
