Just for fun, here is another repost (of sort) from the Landscape Gallery, this time from last November. I say "of sort" because this isn't actually the exact same image posted in the Landscape Gallery.

This is one of my personal favorites, not just because of the composition itself, but also because of the fortuitous, almost fateful, circumstances resulting in its capture.

Canon 24-105mm f/4L IS

Jim, this image is a wonderful riot of colors and textures that works great for this theme! I like the lines of the tree branches, the spiky front plants, the yellow on trees and bushes, the red dirt, and all contrasted so nicely with the snow. Great composition of these interesting elements. You do have me curious, though, about "the fortuitous, almost fateful circumstances resulting in its capture."

Love the snow and the mix of colors. This would be a favorite for me, without additional circumstances.

Wonderful colors in this one, Jim. The green, yellow, and reds standout in the fresh snow. I think your other post mentioned a trip to Zion too, have a good one. Always a good place to be.

Jim: I can see why this is one of your favourites! Just stunning! The rich contrast in colours, textures, snow-covered and bare ground, and leaves-to-trunk tones and texture is just wonderful. Great composition to boot. Outstanding!

This is a wonderful image Jim! It's interesting how you can see signs of Summer, Fall and Winter in a single image! Great work!
