Dawn at Fingal Head, New South Wales.

It was great to get back into some coastal shooting after a long spell shooting forests and landscapes. I was lucky with some nice color and cloud cover.

Thanks for you thoughts and suggestions.

D800, 14-24 lens @23mm, f/14, 64sec, ISO100. Single shot double processed for DR.

Wow, 64 seconds is a long exposure. I like the reflection in the edge of the water. A bit too much motion blur in the clouds for me. I like the motion blur in the water, but it feels so far away. I'd like to see more water and less sand.

The large version does the job, it puts me into the scene. The mood is well conveyed!

It's a cracker David, I too like the shimmering light on the edge of the sea. As Didl mentions it does put you there.

I think the large version is a must see here. The smaller version doesn't do this justice. Love the light and the olors.

The colors are great and I like the contrast between the sharpness of the rocks and the softness of the sea and clouds. As others have said, the larger version must be seen to be really appreciate the scene.

David,

Gotta agree with the others, the large version really stands out. I really like the hint of color touching the clouds. Is that the crescent moon at center? Nice touch to this lovely seascape. No nits from me.

Gorgeous seascape David. I like the sense of solitude and quiet. The large view is stunning.

I feel like if I had been there at this time, I would not have noticed how fast the time had passed while lost in contemplation. An image for introspection and thought. :toast:
