Taken near Split rock Lighthouse in Minnesota

Mamiya RB67 Pro-S
50mm 4.5 Sekor-C
Fomapan 100 at EI 50
Rodinal 1:50 N development

As usual I tried to match my darkroom print from the scanned negative. Not sure if I was successful. The print looks better.

Does anyone have any advice on how to detail with compression of tones from changing the image size to upload here?

Very nice composition Kris! I'm not sure if it was possible to get a higher vantage point, but I can't help but wonder if it might have helped further define that nice curve further into the distance. I might be inclined to crop a little from the bottom, but I still like it as is! Nice work!

Kris,

This is quite unique and I think strong and effective. It's like half normal and half high-key. I love the long sweeping line of the shoreline separating the tones; great design. I really like this. The large version is even better and I can imagine the print being even better yet.

Not sure I understand your question about "compression of tones?" I'm not sure how it works assuming this is just grayscale as opposed to sRGB or something, so I don't know if or how tones get compressed. You might pose that question in one of the forums.

Stunning b&w. Love the sweeping curve and the feeling of absolute stillness.

Thanks for all of the comments. The images are darker and have increased contrast. The file on my computer is far more subtle. Though I fixed the darker image by lightening it know it would change, I am still having issues with contrast. The lower right corner in particular is rather dark and contrasty.
