Balloon Glow

This was taken this past weekend at the Carolina Balloon Festival in Statesville, NC. They do a "balloon glow" after sunset, setting up the balloons, and lighting the burners all at once. They can't burn long or they will lift off, so you have to be pretty quick with the shutter. I cloned out a few folks that were below me on the hillside to eliminate clutter.

Amazing that you caught all of them glowing at once. We have smaller balloon festivals here but they never glow all at once or in such a nice neat formation. Nice capture.

Great light and colors Wick. I like the hint of blue sky showing.

Love the colors and pano comp Wick, looks great large.
Neat how the balloons are lit-up from underneath, and the purplish clouds BG RT add a nice touch :wavey:

Beautiful, Wick. The colors in the balloons are great, and the purple in the sky is a nice touch that helps complete the scene.

I tend to like balloon shots a lot, and this is no exception. I like the multitude of highly saturated (because brightly backlit) colors in the frame. The panoramic crop works very well here. Nice. :toast:
