Another of the Monhegan Island Maine images captured earlier in the month. Again the light was poor in rain and overcast conditions, but I like the open shot and the perch against the background.

I like the lichen on the perch. A tighter horizontal crop would improve it for me.

Cropped from the bottom and horizontally. Thoughts with this rendition?

Thanks

Outstanding! The diffused flash really brought the bird out. The only small nit I have is the amount of space on the right, cured by a crop. Look at it, anyway.

I just looked at your repost. Much better for me! :toast:

Very nice Chuck, I like the repost better, I also like how the lichens mimic the color of the warbler. :toast:

You certainly made lemonade out of the poor light on your trip. This image is great. Love the pose. Great detail. And that bit of yellow lichen on the perch is the perfect touch. Can't even perceive the flash-which is just right. The new crop works for me as the detail holds up and there is no appreciable noise.

Chuck, a great little bird, set off nicely by the darker background. The yellows work nicely together and I like the pose. Your repost is my preference too. My camera almost never sees shutter speeds like this and NEVER sees this ISO...
