Here's a pair of Laughing Gulls I photographed in Rockport, TX this spring. I was photographing them courting and going for a closeup head shot of the interaction when he mounted her. I couldn't fit all his wings in but I liked the result. This is about 90% of FF

I really like this, Nate. The light is just fantastic. Nice position for both birds' heads. The low perspective makes this a superior image. I don't miss the wing tips at all--been there, seen them.

After reading the description Nate, I call this a nice documentary capture! Good lighting, detail and if that's how you had to crop it, fine by me! Interesting story! Congrats!

Although I'd love to see the wingtips and legs on the female this still works for me as presented.

I like this a lot Nate. The clipped areas are non-essential, emphasizes the intended behaviour - in a discrete way. The open beak and low key feel is attractive.

Interesting and different Nate, and I like it as presented. I enjoy the behavior and excellent light on the faces of both birds. The open bill of the male makes a big difference for me.
