Shot this image this past weekend on the Wakulla River, south of Tallahasse, FL. I love climbing astors, and also love cypresses, so this was a natural for me, even though my camera setting was for shooting birds. Shot handheld from a boat - thank goodness for VR!

LARGE version available for better detail.

D2x w/70-200 VR (on) @ 200mm
1/320 @ f/5
250 ISO
No filters
Handheld
Capture One 6, CS4

Your thoughts and criticisms always appreciated. Thanks for looking.

Bill:
Good eye to pick out this lovely scene from what looks like a jumbled environment. Lots of interest here for the viewer to explore. Good sharpness for HH shot. :toast:

Hmmm, Cypress Knees. I have heard of these before, but I have never seen them. I'm not sure what purpose they serve or how they relate to the trees, so someone will have to inform me. Well, off to Google after this comment.

It's always nice to see the natural environment of flowers and plants in context with others. The asters add a nice touch of color, as well as the green arching leaves on the right.

To be honest, I'm struggling with this one. I can't find anything to rest my eye on. There are a lot of interesting elements but it doesn't seem to come together as a cohesive whole. I agree with Gary, there's a lot to explore. Maybe too much?
