It was a rainy dull day so I opened up my doors and photographed the birds from inside. The silvereyes are frequent visitors in my garden now.

Good detail in this photo. Nice looking bird. IMHO it is a bit tight at the end of the birds tail. If you have room I would suggest giving more room on the right side and cropping out some of the metal on the left. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice Toya. I agree that a bit more room on the right would add to this comp.

Thank you both for your comments, unfortunately this image isn't cropped, so there is no room to move. Also John, it's not metal, it is a fern frond. I have these birds around my house a lot at the moment, I will try to get a better shot another time.

Nice, Toya. If you have Photoshop, you can solve the tightness at the tail by adding a bit of canvas at the right side, selecting the blanks and then using Smart Fill. These are pretty small birds, right? They must be pretty habituated to humans to get full frame, even with a 500mm. Nice.

Thanks Jim I will give that a try. Yes they are very small bird but I have been feeding them and with double doors wide open to the house so they are getting used to my being there. I slowly moved the food closer until I had them perching right outside the door. They are very quick and if I make sudden movement they are gone in a flash. Fun to watch and practice my photography on tho.

Toya, you caught a nice head turn and have good detail and light on the bird. Interesting subject. I agree, just a little tight on the tail.

Thanks for the correction Toya. As I looked at the photo I thought that was the frame of a lawn chair or something like that.
