After Sunrise

This is the early morning light, just after the sun broke the horizon, the same morning that I took the last images I posted. This is looking west and enjoying the sweet early light again, now that most of the smoke is gone. This was truly a glorious and blessed morning. Thanks for all your comments and critiques.

Very nice image Richard. I really like the warm sunrise light here, especially how it illuminates the yucca spines.

Ditto, Scott on the warm light in this. The large version has better sharpness and detail, so that's a must view. The yucca make an interesting foreground element.

Looks like this would have been a glorious place to be for that morning. Definitely some yellow light. In fact, I'd probably back the yellow down just a tad. I don't know what options were available, but the left foreground feels busy compared to the right. I like where the peak is in the background a little out of center, but if it would have been possible to move the taller yucca so that it was to the right of the peak it would help fill the right side.

You captured some beautiful warm light in this scene, Richard. It may not have been possible, but did you happen to move to the left a little bit and take some images? That would have filled that bit of empty FG on the right. Just a suggestion of course.

Beautiful warm light. The yucca makes an interesting foreground. Maybe back down the yellow a little bit. Otherwise I like it as is.

I like the shadows from the early morning light and the foreground yucca plants. I see you got some good cloud formations with some nice warm light. Nice work Richard!

Richard, I like the warm light and color you caught here. On my monitor the yellow looks quite natural to me for this early light.

Love the warmth of this image. Beautiful light and the yuccas are a good subject for showcasing it
