The South Fork

South Fork of Bishop Creek, Eastern Sierra, taken at the end of September. This is a manual blend of two exposures for dynamic range, which I usually try to avoid with trees that cross the horizon.
Thanks and comments welcome.

Lovely colors and mood. Love the sky. Can't quite place this though I know that part of the world pretty well. Nicely done!

Beautiful color here, Rudy. I like how the color in the sky compliments the foliage. I also like how you have framed the peak in your composition. Your blend looks good and I don't see any unusual gradients in the trees. I like the clarity and detail in the large version. Also good to see another D700 shooter too!! :wavey:

I know this spot and this is a very nice composition from there. Nice color too! That's a lot better sky than I saw when I was there.

Your treatment of the sky and including so much boosts my enjoyment of this shot. Feels like I am about to walk into that meadow and rest among the rock seating. Superb photo...print big and hang it.

The contrast of the tranquil lower half with that dramatic sky is a real gripper. I love the warm light spilling into the scene.

I want to add my voice to the sweet light here. Great capture with some very dynamic fall colors. I really like the composition the line of trees moves the eye right back to the mountain and the clouds also help move you into the image. Great image.

Rudy, a real fine rendition from this area of the sierras. Wonderful autumn look, and the larger version is a must see too.

Nicely reproduced light, 3D feel of the trees is very impressive. The upper part of the image is a beauty in itself.
