From Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge. A spoonbill flies from across a lagoon to land with a small group of spoonbills feeding near where I was hiding.

Very early morning light.

Nice flight shot! You have good color, detail and action in this image. Maybe a slight crop off the bottom would help. I do like that you have the birds eye sharp. Thanks for sharing.

Top notch flight shot, Ron. Very nice exposure, interesting flight posture, excellent IQ. I also notice that the bird is placed perfectly against the background with the lighter head and neck against the more solid, dark brown colors which I think works very well. Excellent.

They are truly magnificent and large birds. I like the comp and the wing position. Detail is very good. The back ground is not as pleasing as one would hope for with 3 intense and highly different bands of color

Nice flight shot -- If it were mine I would try to desat yellows so those colors do not compete with the spoonbill -- worth a try just to see what it would look like

Wonderful flight shot and an interesting display of colors between the spoonbill and background. I happen to like the background layers as it gives me a sense of place. Well done Ron.

Your typical high image quality. Nice exposure and detail. Not my favorite background color, though.

A beautiful flight shot Ron. The warm colored background contrasts nicely with the spoonbill.
