Outdoors close-up of red dahlia from last summer in Switzerland.
I used my macro 90mm lense fron very close distance trying to focus on the center of the flower. I like the result  However I welcome any comments, suggestions & critique.

Miro: The DOF/POF works for me. I'm undecided on whether I would like to see the entire flower or a tighter more frame filling crop. Even this partial crop of the right side is OK with me. Nicely done.>=))>

Miro:
There are a lot of possibilities here. One can either go even closer to abstract images or back out slightly for more complete bloom. However, you comp is fine as well. Like the red on green; works well.

The perspective and the dof seem just right, Miro, for giving you the feel of the flower, and I like the subdued colouring too - the deep red on the olive green ground. A slightly wider view might also have been good, but this is very nice.
