Hi everyone - A new image of me.... setting up on Black Brook Cove, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Actually I am switching from my Canon 5DM2 to the monster Pentax 67II hanging around my neck. My husband Joe took this with a Canon Digital Elf I gave him last Father's Day. For those of you who know me, you know I really love the qualities of film and am getting back to it. I started with film in the early '70's went digital in 2005 and went back to film in 2011. I still take digital images but it is more of a back up technique for me now.

Eva, glad to see you are going back to film. I have never gone digital, it just never seemed real to me, don't know why. I too have the Pentax 6x7 II, though I haven't had much time to shoot here lately, but that will soon change as I am getting ready to retire this year. Excellent photo of you by the way. Ron

Great photo! My daughter has taken to photography. She is a student at Brown university but right now she is studying in Amsterdam. She refuses to shoot digital (she is so retro!) and shoots with film on a old pentax that she bought for 65 euro. Thing is she is producing some brilliant shots. Go figure!

Your hubby took a fine shot, good choice of camera you got him it looks like. What is that "monster" around your neck and how do you not collapse from the weight? :jump:

well you know my feelings about medium format film ... and don't we love the satisfying clunk when that huge mirror falls back in place?!

Hey Eva, great to see you in an updated photo here out and about doing what you really enjoy. Glad you've found film as a good media to work with still too. Although I've been using a 4x5 primarily for last 7 years or so, I cannot part with my RB67 ProSD unit. Some of my best outings and captures were with that old unit. Your posted 6x7 shots have all been outstanding. Keep up the good work and thanks for being such a positive moderator here at NPN also. :wavey:

Hi Eva. Looks a little chilly where you are. I'm loving your switch back to film - it's nice to once again view the colors of Velvia.
