Second image from the walking Lynx sequence, this one is with a slightly different pose, and somewhat sharper. Sadly my time is still at a premium, I'd love to go out and photograph animals more often. Hopefully there will be more images in the future!

C&C welcome!
Tech: 1dsmkII, 200mm, f/4 iso 800 & 1/125th

note (c) means this is a captive animal

Like the expression you caught on this lynx. Good color in his coat. I do find the OOF green at his feet to be distracting a bit, Thanks for sharing.

superb image. I really like the composition and detail. I find the Lynx's focus to a bit distracting.he looks a litte cross eyed:/ might just me be though.

Beautiful subject Jorne. I like this frontal view and the vertical format works. The oof foreground has been mentioned allready. The greens seem a bit over saturated on my monitor, but the other colors seem good.

Hi Jorne,

Another very pleasing lynx image! I really like the colours and the lighting and how the cat appears to be drawn to something off its current path (and perhaps about to change direction). For me the frame is a bit too tall and narrow (with perhaps a bit too much room up top), but I'm guessing you had a practical reason for this. I think the image would work a little better for me if the amount of empty space on either side of the subject was reversed, so the cat was looking back into the frame a little more (and thus with its head slightly less centred). But that's certainly a personal preference issue.

Looking forward to the time when you can find the time to shoot more wildlife!

Cheers...

Brad

PS: Thanks for so clearly stating the status of the subject (i.e., the captive nature of it).

nice pose here Jorne
were you shooting through glass or mesh?
I would shave some from top and right (and wish there was some space bottom and left)

Fine image, Jorne - sharp where it needs to be and the oof bg is great. Like others, would love to have less room on top and a little more to the left and right.
