A Buck's Tale #2

After about 5 minutes or so of watching his chosen doe, I think this buk got tired of just standing there, so he just settled down into a nice comfy lying position and continued to watch her. I've decided to call him Mr. Patient as he certainly has that just watching his doe feed and not pushing her. He's looking right at her which usually is a no-no for black-tails but she's facing away from him so it's okay. She apparently is in no hurry to urinate so he's just biding his time. As we'll see tomorrow, this always doesn't work out for the best. I've done nothing to this image except resize and sharpen for the web. Comments and critiques appreciated.

This is excellent. I like the way the dark eye and those polished antlers stand out so nicely amidst the soft browns and green tones in the background. Good balance of subject and habitat. Best of the series imho. :toast:

Nice portrait. I like that you were able to get good focus on the buck with all of the grasses and stuff in the way. Maybe just a tad brighter? Thanks for sharing.
