A Buck's Tale #3

Mr. Patient is quietly watching his chosen doe feed, hoping that she will squat and urinate so he can then see if she's ready to breed. This is taking time, too much. Out of the woods walks this more dominant buck. The situation changes dramatically. Mr. Patient gets up and moves back a bit but still watching what is going on. The new buck trots over to the doe (not the one behind him in the photo) but she moves off away from him. He's more agressive than the other buck and stays pretty close to her as if demanding she urinate for him. She just continues to quietly graze on the grasses. But he doesn't have the patience of the other buck and moves off as the doe obviously is not taking any hints from him. Other than resizing the photos and doing sharpening for the web, the only change to the photo was to warm it up slightly. Comments and critiques welcomed.

Another nice one Peter. I do like the alert pose you caught this buck in, very good. I do wish just a bit more of the doe behind him was visible. Good exposure. Thanks for sharing.

I really like the light you found for this one, Peter. His alert posture is eye catching, too. The placement of the doe behind him, merging as she is, seems unfortunate to me.
