My new bosses surprised me Sat. night by signing me up for a short photography class with Colorado photographer John Fielder on Sun. morning. One of the lessons he tried to teach was to use leading lines to create depth. He found a perfect example in this spot with the road and fence creating converging leading lines. This was shot on a private ranch near Grand Junction, which we were able to visit thanks to the generosity of the Mesa Land Trust. Comments and/or suggestions appreciated as always.

The lead in created by the fence and path really stand out even in the thumbnail Angela. Beautiful golden color as well.

Love the warmth throughout this one, Angela. I guess mine will contrast with yours. I also like your comp leading me back.

A very nice comp, tremendous sense of depth with that split rail fence. I like the light on the rails very much. A keeper for sure.

Looks great. The fence makes a fine leading line and it's helped nicely by the two track and the trees. The warm light is also wonderful. Very cool bosses to give you a class with Fielder!
