Jasper National Park 4

Here is another shot from my Jasper trip. This one was done the morning before the last two I posted. I used a long shutter speed to show the streaking of the ice flow. This part of the river was a few hundred yards down stream of where my last shots were taken.

Real nice composition. Love the leading lines. The light on the mountain is sweet and the clouds look great. Love the reflective colors in the water!

Excellent Wayne!

I really like the sweeping curve of the ice up front and the little island of ice and snow anchoring the foreground. Great action in the sky and mountain tops and I like in this image that there is a little more shadow detail - works appropriately in this image, where as the more silhouetted trees in your previous images worked just as well for those conditions.

Sure seems like a productive trip. Hope you've got more coming.

Beautiful capture Wayne, sweet light, all the colors are great. I think your last post with the ice in the foreground is a lot stronger. all your photos from this shoot came out beautiful.

Think you could have been a bit more literal and put the edge of the ice in to the llc for max impact but great light and dig the scene. Nice :)

Of the images you have posted I think I like this one the best Wayne, it has a far more calming feeling to it than the others. Really great capture!

Another comp with good use of diagonal lines. Lovely color and light and great peaks with a mountain river. Good stuff!

This is wonderful, Wayne. It looks like this was a great trip. Well done giving our eye direction with the ice flow and the ice along the river. I also really like the colors at this time of the day. Your use of filters seems just right and I feel the image has real balance. Thanks for sharing this--I really enjoyed it.

Feels crisp and cold. Looks beautiful. I love the curving lines of ice you get in these compositions. they work so well with the currents of the water. Excellent work

Wayne, I like this image a lot! Nice use of the gnd and capturing a wonderful and natural feel. Really nice light and colors here too. Your comp works so well with the sweeping line of the ice and I also like the streaks in the water from your exposure. Very nice!
