Hint of Shadow

Sony A77
Minolta 200mm macro
ISO 400, 1/60 @ f16

Was shooting our maple tree leaves the other day and was watching the back lighting as the sun played hide and seek behind the clouds. Caught this one as it was just starting to illuminate the leaf and liked just the hint of the shadow of a branch behind the leaf. All comments welcome.>=))>

lovely, Bill Fach. I did one on a similar theme a while back, on another site, green, not red, but as a result of that, I can really appreciate this and what it tells us about not only the lives of leaves, but also our own, whether we realize it or not.

Bill:

You are so lucky to have a maple tree in your yard; I had to travel 3000 km to see color like this.

It must be fun to see this in different lighting condition. The shadowed stem in the bg adds interest. Lovely vein details from your new camera. How are you liking A77?

Love the lines and textures here - leaves and leaf veins have always facinated me.
Excellent lighting.
Cool!

These type of shots are so hard to pull off, but you made it look very easy with your comp, use of lines, color, and light. :toast:
