Lake Alice & Sky
by Richard Teller
This was shot at Lake Alice, part of the North Plate National Wildlife Refuge. It is just north of Scottsbluff. It has been very dry here, but we had a very pretty fall. The trees turned slowly and lasted longer. This is cropped from top and bottom to give it a more pano look. I like the open feeling of the prairie in the shot. Because of some pressing circumstances I have not been out shooting very much lately, so I was going back through some images I shot earlier in the year. Thanks for your comments and critiques.

The light is quite effective, it brings out the trees and the ridge quite nicely.
Excellent in a couple of ways. First, great color combo with the blue sky and yellow foliage. Also, your chosen comp and crop do capture the openess and sense of space wonderfully. Well done.
