Taken at a local overlook of the scenic white river called Penters Bluff..or as we like to call it, "Painters Bluff", just outside of Cushman, AR. This is a beauty of a spot that gives you something different each time you visit..

Thanks for looking and the c/c!!

Justin, This looks like such a peaceful and calming place. The soft light and color really make for a nice mood. I like your comp too. Very nice.

Wonderful comp and I like the soft, balanced light. Wondering about cropping a bit off the right. Not as much interest in that part of the image.

Nice balanced light, adds a wonderful softness to the scene. Darker tree detracts a bit from the curving river, and the right lower corner is not as appetizing. Overall really nice feel to this work.

Looks like a lovely spot Justin. I like the rock and tree on the right, the long S curve of the river, and the warm light on the distant ridge. I too think that cropping from the right would make for better balance.

I really like the comp here. I agree a touch off of the right might strengthen it more. It could use a bit of a mid tone contrast boost, too. But, it does feel painterly.

Justin,

A grand view to be sure and I think you did well to craft this composition, which is tough considering the vantage point, tall vertical trees with gently curving river far below. The landscape seems to lack a little contrast. I'm wondering if you could do some selective dodging to bring out the warm light striking the hills in the background; it's nice light but seems a little flat, kinda matching the landscape/river a little bit.

Just for balance, you might consider cropping in a little from the left to reduce the heaviness of the dark trees in the URC - but that's minor. Also, try and remember to clone out those dust bunnies in the clouds.

A couple tweaks and this will work nicely.

I like the composition in this very much - very pleasing. The light is also nice, but I do have a couple of nits. First, I might brighten the mid tones a bit, and then increase overall contrast - I think that would put more life into the image - just my .02, of course.

Thanks for all the suggestions! Here is a try with a little midtone contrast, and a couple of the crops mentioned..thought??
