Watching His Doe

The buck that had been dutifully following his chosen doe finally decided to take a break. He pawed the ground a couple of times like he was trying to find a few acorns but then just settled down and kept a close eye on the doe. I watched him for about 15 minutes and he hardly moved other that to scratch or shift his gaze slightly. One of the few times I've had a nice clear view of my target and a reasonable good BG to show him off. I warmed this just little and added a half stop of exposure to lighten him just a bit. Normal sharpening for the web. Comments and critiques are wlecomed and appreciated.

I like the resting pose! You could crop a bit off of the top to reduce the amount of lighter branches in the BG. Nice sharpness and color in the deer. Thanks for sharing, quite a series!

This is a nice clean view of that fine buck. I like the interesting lighting. I think after the encounter, I would have walked over and kicked overt that stub of a branch that is in the right hand background so it would not interfere next time!
