Guess I have enough time to post one more of my B&W wildflowers. Rather than processing for lots of bright whites and deep blacks for stark drama, I just let the soft shapes and smooth gray tones speak for themselves in this conversion.

Canon 50D
Sigma 150 mm. Macro; Circ.Polarizer
f/4 @ 1/160 sec.: ISO 100
Four images stacked in CS5 for depth-of-field
Double-processed in ACR to reduce a couple of highlights
Converted to B&W in CS5

I like this flower and the mood. Only nit is, that I would make the stamens darker. They seem a little washed out. :wavey:

Hi Wayne,
This is one nice photo....... Yup....... very nice!.......... I like everything about it, even the little flying friend on the stamens. Nice Wayne :smile: The lighting is wonderful,the diffused light on the stamens reminded me of the feel I got when being in a tent with the sun shining down on the roof into the tent. {if that makes any sense?}

This is beautiful, Wayne. I really like the way your lighting enhances the petals and helps define the edges of the leaves. Great comp of the flower with a nice mixture of leaves placed at pleasing angles. The little visitor adds a unique touch. Very nice processing in this lovely image.
