Although it's no longer the hummingbird season up here, this guy provided a lot of entertainment over the summer. He was much more intent on fighting off others than he was in feeding.

Great capture, he certainly looks combative, great colors and detail on the hummingbird with a nice background as ell. My only suggestion might be to crop of the bottom to a little below the tail to eliminate most of the out-of-focuspart of the limb.

Excellent job. The focus is excellent. More importantly, your angle really catches the irredescance. I think he is stretching in this image. Nice contrast and saturation. The background is so defocused, that it looks pretty, but a bit unnatural.

Great comp of this feisty little guy, Jerry. For such a little thing he sure is trying to look intimidating! :smile: Love the pose and the wonderful colors in this bird. Nice overall comp to this image too. The background does look a little unnatural, like it may have been photoshopped in, but the green color works well to highlight this bird as well as make this image a great fit for the theme.

This is wonderful Jerry, of the most unique perched hummer poses I've seen.
I especially like the colors, and the bold metallic red of the gorget.
