My Dallas Divide

The iconic Dallas Divide, CO taken last Sept. Although a quite popular site, it was my first venture in photographing the area. And, of course, the first is always the best. I did have to combine two images to get the best exposure. Will be a memorable trip for me for some time to come.

Beautifully done, Ken. The warm color and late sun on the clouds sets this off nicely.

Lovely scene. The colors in the trees are good, but the position of that cloud and how it's lit make this special.

Ken,

What a wonderful combination of elements - from the autumn color of the Divide, to the snow covered mountains, the sky, clouds and the last touches of light. Beautiful.

No nits or suggestions, although the larger version looks a little soft.

Fascinating light. Interesting how the warm-colored cloud feels so close. Doesn't feel like it's behind the mountains. Could maybe see dodging out some of the dark areas on the left of the cloud.
