Autumn

After seeing some Autumn colors from Gary, thought of posting one of my own, made sometime in October.

ND300s, 50mm F/1.8 Lens @ F/11, 1/125 Sec, ISO400 and handheld on a cloudy day. Waited for the two people to pass me and then clicked. Applied a bit of gaussian blur in Photoshop for a slightly dreamy feel.

Thanks a lot for your comments on Chrysanthemum-2 and let me know what you think of this one.

A lovely Fall scene with the walkers strolling down the nice S-curve path. I'm on the fence about the blur, but that's a personal taste. I imagine it shows better in the small image, and is not nearly as hard on the MB as a fully detailed image.

One time it was worth the wait, eh?

Apart from the obvious, what I see in this almost makes me sea sick: The trees swaying way toward the left, and then the path swaying way toward the right....

I guess in the end it all balances out ... or at least it should.

In the last analysis, unfortunately, I think this image tips a bit too far to the left. It could have been met your mark, maybe, not sure though, execpt for that major flaw.

Ram : You may be right and I have noticed it at the time of processing itself. I left it like that as I know there is a natural slant there. May be my handholding has added to it but I don't know for sure. I went back and looked at a photo I made in Oct 2006 of this same location (not a good photo) Here and find the same tilt..so I guess the tilt is natural, especially the people in the photo seem pretty free of slant.

Ram:

I do like this a lot! The walkers provide scale and show how small humans really are in nature's scheme of things and also conscious beings are there to enjoy the beauty. :jump:

Strong comp Ram and a superb presentation for my tastes. Love the mood you've captured/created.

I like the swaying lines...they add energy to what would otherwise be a more static image. I also like the softness & the inclusion of the people for scale.

Excellent fall mood in the soft light, Ram. I like the comp. You selected a good vantage point for capturing the S-curve. No issue for me with the leaning trees.

This is a very lovely scene Ram. I colors are very vibrant but not overdone and the blur likewise is done just the right amount. What a lovely place to be walking. :toast:

The composition is nice with the leaves and good use of lines. I like that there are people shown in it. That makes the frame more enjoyable. Cause it allows us to visualize being there as well.
