Hi everyone,
I FINALLY finished processing my images from my honeymoon in Bali. You can see them all
here on my blog. Life has been pretty hectic since I got back from the trip in mid-October, from moving into our new home, keeping up with the "other job", and creating a stronger commercial photography foothold here in DC.
I had gone back and forth several times on if I liked this or another version. In this version, the light is more naturally colorful and balanced. But in the other version, I feel the comp is stronger and the rocks sharper. I had to add much of the color back into the "stronger comp" version. Ultimately, I went with the "stronger light" version you see here, but I wanted to present both to you for your C&C.
The other version can be found
here
Thanks for your comments!

Incredible capture and image! The action of the sea, the textures and of course the dynamic action of the crashing wave is fabulous here. The color in the water is simply beautiful and really tops this image off.
A very minor point, and this seems to be a pattern with me and at least one of your other images.... but to me, the green mosses on the rocks on the right and the small cluster of green on the rock receiving the crashing wave, are mildly distracting to me. At least to the point if it were mine I wouldn't want anything to pull my eye away from the ocean/surf and the crashing wave. If it were me, I would selectively desaturate the green/yellow channels just enough selectively to those mosses to take the edge off so they are not likely to pull the eye. A very minor point, but one that I think will help make this one outstanding print!
