An image from our trip to Northern California this last fall. Sea Stack near Crescent City. To many things happening and I haven't had much time to get out and shot lately.

I like how the sea weed(?) leeds your eye in...how the rock (is that the sea stack?) seems to be the center of attention...even though there's more going on. Don't have any complaints,

Richard,

I agree with Holly and I think the seaweed, the patterns and reflections on the wet sand work the best here. Also, this really shows the classic incoming fog so prevalent on the California coast. Overall though, the big rock is too dominant for me and because it's so big I think it demands more detail on the shady side. I know it's in shadow given the light and direction, but still it takes up a lot of real estate. Not sure what could have been done differently. Do you have any other images working the reflections in the sand?

A decent, "I was there" image, but I don't think this is up there with your better images Richard.
