So tranquil and eerie. The glassy reflection works great and love how the large trees are framing the smaller ones in the background.

I like this almost as much as your similar previous post. Understated, elegant, and ethereal. The B&W is perfect to simplify this into just shapes and tones. Another winner for me! :toast:

I tell you what, David. Your color work is exceptional in every way, and teaching with each image. But, this B&W should be around for a long time after we are gone. It may be one that defines the digital age using black and white. :toast: :toast: :toast:

Awesome! Is this the camera's metered exposure, or did you push it a little? This looks like an infinity pool with the mirror flat water and reflection.

Amazing image, David. The scene itself is truly impressive, but your capture & processing have really made it all come together as a real work of art. :toast:

No superlative is enough! Amazing high key image. The trees and their reflections stand so starkly! Did you have to clone anything out? This is seriously one of my favorites of yours, and that's saying something because I have many favorites of yours.

You've got to be kidding! Everytime I think I've seen the best cypress tree ever, you post one that raises the bar even higher. You've really pushed it up this time. This is nothing short of magical.

A big thanks to everyone for the feedback.

Chris.......this was pushed a bit in processing. When I shot it I was not thinking b&w but rather my recent muted color.

Navin,,,,,,,I did clone some intruding branches from adjacent trees on the left and right edges of the frame.

Thanks again,
David

These trees have such expressive "poses". You've done an excellent job of isolating and emphasizing them, like a dance troupe. .
