Pond

Thanks for all the great comments on the last image posted. Very much appreciate it.
This little pond is one of many found on the flats where the Matanuska and Knik Rivers meander on their final journey into Knik Arm of Cook Inlet, northeast of Anchorage, Alaska. The grasses were quite still in the warm light of dusk one fall evening several years ago. This is a crop, about 2:1 ratio, of a 4x5 transparency, utilizing about 1/2 of the transparency. Would appreciate your comments and thoughts on this.
4x5, 360mm, Velvia, no filters. M1 scan, Tony Kuyper's masks and such (actually very little done to the scan)
Larger size has a bit more detail.
Thanks

This is just stunningly gorgeous! The juxtaposition of the larger and smaller sets of grasses is awesome and the colors of course wonderful.
I like the crop, but wanted to see if there was any more room at the bottom - or was all the cropping done from the top? No biggie, but a skosh more room below the tips of the stalks would work - although it's pretty difficult to improve on this beauty!
