Frosted Tiarella (Pirates Patch)

Garden is a bit quiet. And lacking interest.

This is today's winter season capture in the morning garden walk-thro. I like the frosted hairs and leaf edges.

SImilar to one posted a year ago.

Nikon d800e, Zeiss 100mm w/polarizer and f18 and 4 sec shutter.

Thanks for the comments...my wife corrected the identification of this plant...oops...not a heuchera..

Ken: What a color junkie fix this is! The frost is icing on a very fine cake. Well done.>=))>

Just superb. Great color and textures but it's the balance in the comp that makes it for me. Knowing what the 800e will do, I'd love to see this really large.

My kind of shot, Ken. Just outstanding. The color is certainly jazzed, but I like it, and the detail is terrific. :toast:

Great comp and eye to see this - the myriad of colours, frosted lightly, is delightful.
Congrats on the WP!

Wow! What a tapestry this is. It pops out of the page at you. I agree that this would be excellent in a very large print. Nice work Ken.
