I was absolutely fascinated by the patterns on this beach. Amazing place I visited on a 1:2:1 with Ian Cameron.

You have a great eye for these kind of abstract images and this is no exception. A very effective composition that leads my eye throughout the frame. The B&W is also very effective and compliments the texture of the sand.

Love it! Is this the same beach where you took the "trees"?

I like the fact that relatively simple/small thing still excite and amaze me. I was working in Crescent City last week. So I took the cameras and intentionally worked harder and longer to get done by Thursday. I have been wanting to explore the Del Norte Redwoods(Damnation Creek Trail) for a while now. Not that they are small, but I was in awe of that place. I like that feeling, ya know?

Thank you Brian. Hey Chris ... yup. Tree Sprits and Rivers. Many thanks. I do find I also want to get back out west on the left coast again. I remember seeing things I wanted to capture but could not at the time.

This is very different Eva, don't think I have seen anything like this before, very interesting, and it keeps me looking, good thing of course. I like this very much. Beautiful work.

Beautiful. I'm always amazed at the way nature repeats patterns large and small throughout so many systems. I might consider cropping a hair off of the top but this is wonderful as presented.

Love that pattern and how nicely you've emphasized it by going b&w. There's an Escheresque sense as the clean sand morphs into total ripples.

Eva, this is absolutely wonderful and unique. Close ups and abstracts are certainly one of your strengths and I enjoy them a lot Chet

Really sweet abstract Eva, well seen. I too see a slight crop from the top to remove the brighter reflection on the sand. :toast:

I can see why you were so fascinated with these designs, Eva! Wonderful abstract capture, I could see cropping just a sliver off the top to remove that bright patch in the upper right, but that's being picky.

Love is the only word I can think of. I love the way the right hand pattern reaches earnestly to the bottom of the frame. Beautiful. Highlight mentioned at the top of the frame doesnt bother me at all. :toast:

Amazing patterns. At first, I thought it was a shot from an airplane. One could probably spend a lot time photographing these designs. I guess they were caused by water flowing back to the ocean? I have seen similar patterns on the beach, but nothing as elaborate as these.

Fantastic Eva! The patterns are wonderful, but I'm really attracted to texture of the peppery sand in the lower half. Not a big deal or a nit at all, but if it were mine and I was going to print this, I might consider a slight crop from the top to mitigate the brighter reflected area along the top right edge. Very minor though.

I could see having a field day with this location. Great eye and capture.

Really special shot Eva. The graphic display is visually stunning at its easy to get lost in the textures and lines. Good choice on bw conversion. The right upper side shows some highlights l might be tempted to dodge throughout the top portion for uniformity but thats just an observation. Great eye, more please

Really love the textures you have captured, Eva. That and the transition from plain to complex. The B&W conversion works well to bring out finer details. Thanks for capturing and sharing this. :toast:

The fibrous root pattern against the fine cross-hatching is indeed very interesting. The B&W treatment seems to enhance the pattern.
