A simple macro of a common insect. (Grass Skipper)
It's wet, cold, and grey now..
So it always helps to look back for a warm-up of things to come:smile:
F/16, 1/300th, ISO 400, 1D M3, Sigma 150mm f/2.8 at 11:31 and clear in June. Light fill flash.

Too cute! And the flower is quite lovely as well! I love the colors bursting from the frame!

Beautifully (and expertly) captured, Howard. The skipper is perfectly position, and I like the stop action of the whip-like proboscis. :toast:

The colorful flower is a great foil for the subtle coloring of the bf. I'm a big fan of the skippers...they're fun to watch, common, active, and hard to ID.
