I can count on these guys to show up every year towards the end of September on a small stretch of shoreline at a local reservoir. I usually just find a comfy spot to lie flat on my stomach and wait for them to work their way towards me. All C&C appreciated.

Excellent. I have found them to be trusting as well here in AZ if I just sit by the pond edge. I like the very low perspective andthre head turn.

Your approach worked very well, the low perspective, detail and background all come together, well done.

Just gorgeous. I like how the bird looks curious and interested as to what the heck you are doing there, lying on the ground making clicking noises.

My perception may be off, but could this stand to be rotated a hair clockwise?

Excellent perspective and real nice detail. Bg and Fg colors work nicely to bring out the best in this bird. Rotation looks fine to me. Well done! Sharon

I really like the typical pose, eye contact and detail you've captured Mark, and the overall earth tones.
