Another Golden snub-nose monkey, this time a youngster. It was looking straight at me with those black round baby-eyes...

Beautiful portrait! I really like the lighting on his fur & the soft look of his eyes! What a neat place to be!

Aside from the really unique subject I love your presentation in the vertical format. The intense eye contact works nicely here. Great job showing those dark eyes with beautiful catchlights. The extra frame you added is done very tastefully imho.

Great look, Ellen, and his eye contact is riveting. Unless you are saving the space for a print application, I think I would crop some of the negative space from the top, perhaps to a 4x5 ratio.

What a cool subject this is Ellen, so cute. I hope you will also show us the Black species? The eye-level angle is perfect. The vertical presentation works well in principle, but the OOF diagonal trunks in the far BG are a little distracting. A tighter crop would reduce the impact by eliminating most, but seeing that this is already a severe crop that might not be the best thing to do.
