I've been here since 2006; just never posted an image of myself. I decided folks deserved a look at me. This is about as good as it is going to get.

I've been photographing since the early 50's. I got my first SLR about 1958 and have been hooked off and on since then. Digital overtook me with the old Sony Mavica, a 1 +/- mp behemoth, in the late 90's and I have hardly touched film since. I do miss it, but I couldn't afford it, being a learn by mistake kind of photographer. With digital, I can keep on learning by tons of mistakes, and the digits are free! Not the cameras or the glass, though. :frown:

NPN has been the biggest source of my learning and growth as a photographer. A great group of folks, who have been tolerant of my stubbornness and even put up with my rants. So here is what I look like!

You don't look too threatening, Phil. I think it must be that broad smile.

Nice to see this, indeed.

I really like this, Phil Hodgkins, in its composition; whether it is its or yours is perhaps another matter.

What you have somehow managed to do in capturing that tree trunk on your left, our right, as a second "face" in the image, a second person, is remarkable, and thus I decided to write a remark on it.

The tree sprite appears to be looking at you with eyes not unlike yours and an arm in the same angle as yours extending from it's right to its left, our left to our right.

It's mouth is also slanted downward on the same slant, almost, as yours is...

This was a forest spirit that manifested at this point in time, Phil Hodgkins..... through your intention or that of a higher power....but it is clearly real.

there with you yet not wearing glasses. :) (0-0) LMAO  :toast: :jump:

Phil: Is this a stack? Great to put the face with the name. It has been a real pleasure to see your growth from merely competent to a master. Keep up the great work.>=))>
