Sharp-tailed Grouse w/repost

Olympus E5, ZD300 2.8, 1.4xTC, ISO100, f10, 1/640 resting on vehicle window

This winter has been sparse birding for me, but here is a Sharp-tailed Grouse from this morning. Got several shots of different birds, but this one shows his toes better than some others. Slight crop on this shot to take out a fence line he was under.

Those feet are amazing, and you have shown them very well.

Excellent close-up David, sweet shot of this bird.
LP looks great, I like the 'tufts' of dead grass about the grouse that accent well.
Only suggestion for improvement would be to clone out the light colored grass stem ULC.
Well done! :wavey:

Great detail and good job getting the exposure right on the bird against that bright snowy background

Great shot Dave. The larger version is especially impressive with great detail. You have also handled the exposure very well. :toast:
