I darkened the edges significantly using a Multiply layer, and applied a Gaussian blur overall, masking off the tulip head.

I like all the colors here & the way the tulip glows in the light!

Beautiful, Michael. I like both the comp and the processing. I like the way you isolated the backlit yellow tulip as the pof from the contrasting bg colors, and I like the glow.

I like the masking and the glow. The BG colors are a bit chaotic and the neon green and darker green conflict with the upper colors of yellow, orange and purple. The backlighting of the tulip is very attractive.

Michael
Nice processing isolating the tulip. The bright back lighting helps it pop. I don't mind the chaotic bg color. The lens flare is a little distracting especially the one on the left just below the bloom.

Very beautiful image, Michael ! The backlighting and the blur, and the overall colour harmonies are a delight - the two shades of yellow in the petals being especially lovely. I guess I might agree with perhaps darkening that wee bright spot but this is excellent as is for me.
