A dynamite BIF shot. Love the feather detail and the contrast with the blue sky really makes them jump out. Great focus throughout the large subject for f/4.5.

Really nice shot with the full wing extension. Nice and sharp, I also like the three toned background. :toast:

Very nice Sandy, I really like the way the Sandhill's body seems to just fit the contour of the distant hills. Excellent technically as well.

sweet bosque bg and a nice wing position, Sandy. only thing that would make it better for me is if the bird wasn't angled ever so slightly away.

Booyah! That's what I'm talkin' about!

Just a great sandhill-in-flight image, Sandy! Your decision to get up on top of the RV was a great one and paid off in spades. Simply nailed it.

A very impressive shot! I love the color cohesion between the bird and the landscape. I'm also very impressed by how well in focus the feathers are on the birds far wing, amazing DoF IMVHO.

Edit: Sorry, failed to mention how impressed I also am at you climbing up on top of the RV!

Your plan worked out very nicely Sandy. Great flight capture and the split background makes for a very leasing composition.

Hmmmm.....Does this mean I can write off the purchase of an RV as photography equipment?
I like the position of the hills and 3 layered BG effect.
