Hawk in Fog

Hi! This is not an in your face image. I believe that it is a juvenile red tail hawk. The whole scene was really nice with the layering of the trees in the fog. Enjoy!

Christine,
This weather would have canceled most flights . . . and yet you where able to capture a very unique image. I’m not sure the hawk is even the main subject here. The trees scream ‘Winter’ and the layered fog is very well photographed. All these elements combined makes this a very interesting post.

Fog is wonderful! Monochrome without photoshop. Moody ...and ethereal. Nice capture of the hawk.

At first glance I do love your image but thought the hawk a tad on the small side. I thought about possibly a small crop, but then I think any cropping would take away from the overall "feeling" you have and also would result in loss in depth created by the fog So I guess I wouldn't do anything and enjoy the fruits of this piece, as is.

Still, if I were going to hang an image on the wall... this would be the kind of image I would want. Who would want to look at a giant photo of a bird on a perch all day? The fog and trees add a lot of mood to the shot, and the Hawk is certainly prominent enough. Very nice. :toast:

A nice foggy morning feel to this image, Christine. I like the position of the hawk in the frame.

This would be a pleasing photograph without the hawk present, but the hawk adds a nice bit of drama to this wintry scene.

Sweet Photo Chris!!!

This is really cool! The light grey colors look nice with the dark gray trees and the hawk! Really great image!
